Privacy Policy for CustomWorth

Introduction

CustomWorth ("we," "our," or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how CustomWorth handles your information.

Information We DO NOT Collect

CustomWorth does NOT collect, transmit, or store:

• Personal information (name, email, phone number, etc.)
• Financial data
• Usage analytics or statistics
• Device information
• Location data
• Crash reports
• Advertising identifiers
• Any other data whatsoever

How Your Data is Stored

All data you enter into CustomWorth is stored locally on your device only using the Hive database. Your data includes:

• Account balances (assets and liabilities)
• Net worth snapshots
• App settings and preferences
• Reminder preferences

We have zero access to this data. It never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it.

Data You Can Export

CustomWorth allows you to manually export your data as a JSON file for backup purposes. When you export:

• You control where the file is saved
• You control who has access to the file
• The export is a manual action initiated by you
• No data is sent to us or any third party

Network Activity

CustomWorth itself makes zero network calls for your financial data. However:

• Your financial data never leaves your device
• Your account balances and net worth snapshots are never transmitted anywhere
• The app works completely offline for all core tracking features
• Exception: RevenueCat is used solely for subscription validation (see Payment Processing below)

Third-Party Services

CustomWorth does NOT use:

• ❌ Analytics services (Google Analytics, Firebase, etc.)
• ❌ Advertising networks
• ❌ Social media integrations
• ❌ Cloud storage or sync services
• ❌ Crash reporting or diagnostics tools

✅ The only third-party service we use: RevenueCat for subscription management (details below).

Payment Processing

CustomWorth uses RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat collects limited information solely for subscription validation:

• App Store purchase receipts - To verify your subscription status
• Anonymous device identifiers - To associate subscriptions with devices (not linked to your identity)
• Purchase history - To manage trials, renewals, and cancellations

RevenueCat does NOT receive your financial tracking data, account balances, net worth snapshots, or any information you enter into the app.

Their data collection is limited strictly to subscription validation. Your financial data remains 100% private and local to your device.

Notifications

If you enable optional reminders:

• Notifications are generated locally on your device
• No data is sent to external servers
• You can disable notifications at any time in Settings

Data Security

Since all data is stored locally:

• Your data is only as secure as your device
• We recommend using device-level encryption
• Use a strong device passcode or biometric lock
• Be aware that anyone with physical access to your unlocked device can access the app

Note: CustomWorth data is currently stored unencrypted on your device. We recommend using iOS/Android built-in device encryption for additional protection.

Children's Privacy

CustomWorth does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. Since the app is fully offline with no data collection, it is safe for all ages.

Open Source

CustomWorth is open source software released under the MIT License. You can:

• Review the source code at: https://github.com/bobbyburns1989/customworth
• Verify that we make no network calls
• Audit the privacy claims yourself

Changes to This Policy

If we update this Privacy Policy, we will post the new policy in the app and update the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Your Rights

Since we don't collect your data, we have nothing to:

• Access, correct, or delete
• Share with third parties
• Store on our servers
• Transfer to other services

You own 100% of your data stored on your device.
